Final Presentations

In addition to submitting an 8-10 page research paper on the book and exhibition, The Omnivore's Dilemma, you will also be making a 5-minute presentation of your research in class during the last two weeks of the semester. These presentations should be specific about your research project, process, and results, and should clearly articulate your thesis and findings through Powerpoint and a prepared text that you will read. Note that a it takes 2 minutes to read 250 words (one page), so that a 5-minute presentation should be approximately 2-1/2 pages long!

NB: If using Powerpoint, please bring your presentation on a thumb drive or have available as a pdf or use Prezi or other online presentation site. Alternatively, you may load images from a specific webpage about which to discuss; however, keep in mind that your time is limited and be prepared to load pages and not have to search for them.

Finally: You are expected to attend all days of the presentations. You have the right to expect that your classmates will attend and learn from your presentation; likewise, they have the right to the same expectation and respect from you.
